Thelma Louise Moore
July 1, 1924 - November 12, 2017

Thelma Louise Moore, age 93 of Winchester, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at her residence. She was born on July 1, 1924 in Sherwood to the late Walter Clarence and Annie Louise Simmons Garner. Before her retirement, she was employed at Lanier Clothing Factory. Thelma Louise was a member of Christ the King Anglican Church. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, flowers, watching the Atlanta Braves, and going to her exercise club. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Moore; son, Charles "Jeff" Moore; and brother, Charles Garner. Thelma Louise is survived by her daughter-in-law, Doris Moore of Winchester; grandchildren, Greg (Michelle) Moore of Tullahoma, Christy (Paul) Rogers of Winchester, and Derrill Moore of Tullahoma; great-grandchildren, Baylee Rogers, Karlee Rogers, Jeremy Moore, Jessica Moore, Jordan Moore, Lauren Moore, R.J. Moore, and John Michael Moore; sisters, Betty Jo Thompson, and Ethel Stephens, both of Chattanooga; brother, Jerry (Grace) Garner of Winchester; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Tuesday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 15, 2017 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Father Bill Midgett officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
