Cecelia Louise Johnson
Cecelia Louise "Cece" Johnson, 58, of Waterloo, died Monday, November 13, 2017 at Cedar Valley Hospice Home of a lengthy illness.
Cecelia was born June 30, 1959 in Pikeville, Kentucky, daughter of Robert and Juanita (Moon) Johnson.
She graduated from Clinton High School, and earned a bachelor's degree as well as a master's degree in public administration at Upper Iowa University.
Cecelia worked as a creator/director of Life Long Links with the Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging (NEI3A). She was a board member for the YWCA and Habitat for Humanity.
She is survived by: a son, Patric (Michelle) Johnson of West Des Moines; three daughters: Tamika, Angel and Raven Johnson, all of Waterloo; two grandchildren: Kanye Kyrie Sallis and Kenyon Nortay Sallis, Jr.; three sisters: Shirley Greer of West Des Moines, Velinda (Tony) Martin of Memphis, TN, and Lawanda Moon of Atlanta, GA; her father, Robert Moon; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Cecelia was preceded in death by: her mother, Juanita; and a sister, Roberta Johnson.
Cecelia gave 100% to her family and friends. She was passionate about helping people. Her two grandbabies were her world. She was the best mother and nana to her children and grandchildren.
