Joseph DeVoto

Joseph R. DeVoto, age 87, formerly of New York City, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Holiday Care Center in Toms River.
Born in Bronx, New York, Joseph was a lifelong resident of New York City. He was a skillful and successful Emmy Award Winning TV & Film Director in the Entertainment Industry. He retired over 20 years ago from DeVoto-Weiner Films in Manhattan.
Joseph was predeceased by his daughters Denise DeVoto-Shaw and Maria DeVoto-Marshall. Surviving are his children John DeVoto and Michelle DeVoto-Mezzettone and her husband Michael, grandson Jeremy Marshall; and his dear lifelong childhood friend, ex-wife, and mother of his four children, Nancy DeVoto-Yobbagy, who cared for him until his passing.
The service will be private.
