Carlos O. Vasquez
January 5, 1975 - November 20, 2017

WESLACO - Carlos Orlando Vasquez, 42, known as Orlando, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 20, 2017, at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. He was born on January 5th, 1975 to Carlos and Ruth Vasquez. He grew up in Weslaco where he graduated from Weslaco High School in 1993.

Orlando worked at Target in Harlingen for many years. He loved comics and collected comic books. He also loved video games and was a huge Star Wars fan. He loved college football, especially the UT Longhorns who he cheered on every game. Orlando was full of love and life and was a fun and cheerful soul and will be missed by many.

Orlando is survived by his parents, Carlos and Ruth Vasquez, his sister Patricia Vasquez, brother, Abraham Vasquez, all of Weslaco, his aunts, Alicia Garcia (Juan) of Weslaco, Dorothy Saldana (Rick), of Temple, Texas, Maria Pineda of Weslaco, and Marina Vasquez of Austin, Texas, his uncle, Dan Fox of Victoria, Texas, his nephews, Aaron J Vasquez and Damien J Vasquez, and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21st, from 10am-9pm at McCaleb Funeral Home Chapel, with a prayer service at 7 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 21st at 10 am, at McCaleb Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Sacred Park Cemetery in Mercedes.

Pallbearers will be A.J. Vasquez, Aaron J. Vasquez, Joy Pineda, Sammy Rincon, Joey Ballesa, Jorge Vasquez, Saul Pineda, Bobby Sifuentes, and Carlos Vasquez.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of McCaleb Funeral Home of Weslaco.
