Phyllis Holloway

Phyllis E. Holloway, 85, of Rochester, MN died Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Cottagewood Senior Communities.
Phyllis Esther Ranfranz was born August 15, 1932. Phyllis graduated from Rochester High School. She worked as a LPN at the State Hospital and in 1971 she became an RN. She completed her boards to become a State Nursing Inspector. She married Richard Holloway on October 21, 1949. Richard passed away on September 8, 2017. Phyllis was an active member of Peace United Church of Christ, where she was involved with the Women's Circle and helped with luncheons for funerals and weddings. She loved flowers and enjoyed gardening, motorcycle rides with her husband, traveling and boating.
She is survived by her children, Terry (Tim) Sanchez of Byron, MN and Larry (Teresa) Holloway of Rochester, MN; three grandchildren, Garrett, Drew and Johanna Holloway and one sister, Peggy Iverson of Redwood Falls, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers; and six sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Peace United Church of Christ (1503 2nd Avenue NE) with the Reverend Paul Bauch officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will take place at Oakwood cemetery.
