Jimmie L. Weatherill, age 83, of Council Bluffs passed away at his home on November 23, 2017. He was born in Council Bluffs on October 5, 1934 to the late James and Evelyn (Davis) Weatherill. Jimmie proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired from the Chicago and North Western Railroad. He loved his family, feeding squirrels, hunting and fishing and was known as the world's greatest "pop-in-law". In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Weatherill; son, Michael Weatherill; grandson, Ryan Weatherill; sister, Jane Lewis. Jimmie is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Laura Weatherill; daughter-in-law, Shelly Weatherill; siblings, Fred Weatherill, Tom Weatherill (Kate), Sally Brown (Bill) and Judy Ritter (George); grandchildren, Angela Weatherill (John Stokes), Jake Weatherill (Tasha) and Nick Weatherill; great granddaughter, Courtney; nieces and nephews. Memorial service is 2:00p.m. on Monday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. The family will receive friends during the hour prior to the service. Inurnment will take place later in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
