Betty Jane Weedon

Age 94, passed away, Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at
Fairview in Grand Ledge, Michigan. Betty was born January 21, 1923 in Clarksburg, Indiana, and lived in Indianapolis for over 60 years. She retired in 1987 from Eli Lilly and Company after 45 years of service as an Executive Secretary. Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Weedon in 2010; brothers John
Robert Martz and Louis "Bud" Martz; sister Phyllis Render;
brothers-in-law Stan Kern and Raymond Render; nephew John Frederick Martz; and step daughter-in-law Jackie Weedon. She is survived by her step children, G. Robert Weedon, Richard Weedon, and Virginia (Dennis) Grant; sister Sara Kern; nieces JoAnn (Terry) Render, Marcia (Tony) Gensterblum, and Sara (Paul) Schrauben; great nephews and nieces James and Sara Gensterblum and Evan and Leah Schrauben; her nephew's family living in Texas and California; and several friends.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Hoosier Village in Indianapolis, and, particularly, at Fairview in Grand Ledge, Michigan for their loving care of Betty over the last 16 months.
Services will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017, in the chapel at Second Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.
