Rosalind Bernice Blocher-Casey
June 10, 1923 - November 28, 2017

Rosalind Bernice Blocher-Casey, 94, former Muncie resident, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Folsom Center in Cullman, Alabama.
She was born Sunday, June 10, 1923, the daughter of Beatrice and Ralph Gill. She attended Lincoln Wilson Schools and graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1941. In 1942 she married Emmett S. Blocher; they had two children, Carol Ann and Emmett, Jr. The family moved to Cullman, Alabama in 1961, where Emmett was affiliated with Cullman Products. Emmett passed away July 15, 1980. Rosalind has been active in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and was a member of St. Andrews Methodist Church. She also worked several years at the State House in Montgomery, Alabama in the Treasury Department.
Survivors include her son, Emmett (wife Marcia) Blocher Jr., Cullman, Alabama; one son-in-law, Jerry Delk, Paris, Tennessee; grandchildren, Natalie Blocher, Cullman, Alabama, Corey (husband Doug) Delk-Ricardi, Largo, Florida, and Cobey Delk, Nashville, Tennessee; six great-grandchildren, Matthew, Meredith and Marshall Ricardi, Desmond and Ava Cox, and Riley Delk; her foreign exchange student son from 1966, originally from Italy and now of Cullman, Alabama, Morris Maurizi; one sister, Bonnie Gill-Green; and one sister-in-law, Pearl Gill of Muncie, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Carol Ann Delk.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
