Marlin Geisler
February 9, 1938 - November 29, 2017

Marlin Geisler, 79 of St. Charles, died Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at his home.
Marlin was born February 9, 1938 in Kasson to Harvey and Anne (Goeman) Geisler. On February 20, 1960, he married Marcella "Marcy" Bemmert in Rochester. They made their home in Rochester until moving to St. Charles in 1967. He worked for many local companies, including Rochester Silo Co., Geisler Waste Removal which he and Marcy owned, Patterson Quarry/Mathy Construction, North Star Foods and was a reserve Police Officer for St. Charles. He was a member of St. Charles United Methodist Church, St. Charles Moose Lodge, Eyota Songs of the American Legion and the Local 49ers.
Marlin enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching TV - especially sports, morning coffee, sitting outside in the sun waving at his neighbors and most importantly his family. He loved his four legged companions, especially "his girl," Megan; and all of his grand doggies and any dogs that came to visit.
He is survived by four children, Connie Geisler of St. Charles, Marlin "Butch" Geisler of Dexter, Randy (Jessi) Geisler of St. Charles and Marcie (Rick) Dabelstein of St. Charles; and three grandchildren, Jade Dean Forshee, Colter Dabelstein and Rebecca Geisler.
Marlin was preceded in death by his wife, Marcy in 2001; his parents and his aunts and uncles.
A Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Monday, December 4, 2017 at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service - St. Charles with the Reverend Heather E. Klason officiating. Visitation will be 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Marlin will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery at a later date.

"To the Geisler Family, I am so saddened by this news. Your dad was a great person and I always enjoyed seeing and speaking with him. In the summer, I used to check with him on the fishing down at the river. Hold all your memories close and know that he is one more angel watching over you all. Blessings!! Janell and Orv Dahl"
