Gordon Gossel
March 25, 1935 - November 30, 2017

Gordon Julius Gossel age 82, of Story City, died Nov. 30, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center, in Des Moines, Iowa. A gathering of friends and family, will be 4-6:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at St. Petri Lutheran Church 804 Grand Ave. Story City Iowa. At 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, celebration of life memorial service will be at St. Petri Lutheran Church with a lunch to follow. Burial will be at a later date at Old Randall Cemetery.

Gordon was born in Woodville, WI, the son of Albert and Thelma (Johnson) Gossel. He graduated from Woodville High School in 1954. On September 14, 1968 he married Vivian Okland and the couple lived in Minneapolis before returning to Woodville, Wi; In 1978 the couple moved to Story City where he was employed at the Roland Story Schools as a custodian. He was a member of St. Petri Lutheran Church and enjoyed family and especially his granddaughter Hayden.

Gordon is survived by his wife Vivian Gossel, son, Alan (Brandie) granddaughter, Hayden Gossel and daughter, Carin Gossel sister, Celia (Dave) Freiberg nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 siblings.
