Wayne August Rother, 63, of Sheffield, Iowa, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017, at the Sheffield Care Center in Sheffield. He was born on August 12, 1954, in Mason City, Iowa, to Walter A. and Augusta "Gussie" (Storck) Rother.
Wayne graduated from Sheffield Chapin High School. He was united in marriage to Pamela S. Azeltine on June 18, 1988, in Aspen, Colorado. Wayne was a truck driver.
He was a member of Zion St. John Lutheran Church in Sheffield. Wayne enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren, working on his house with his wife Pam, helping his brother during harvest on the family farm, and spending time with his pug Scooby.
Wayne is survived by his son Michael (fiancé Kelli Wreghitt) Rother of Ventura, grandchildren Carson Rother, Lexi Rother and Jack Miller, all of Ventura, brother Mark (Sue) Rother of Sheffield, sister Kay Rother of Chapin, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Augusta Rother, wife Pamela S. Rother and brother Ray Oelkers.
