In loving memory of

Mozellar Ray
October 13, 1924 - November 28, 2017

Mozellar Ray was born on October 13, 1924 in Carrolton, Mississippi to the late Woodson and Mattie Walker. She was one of five children born to this union.

Mozellar moved to Indianapolis at an early age where she met and married the late George Robertson, Sr. To this union 4 children were born. Mozellar later remarried the late Robert Ray and 1 child was born to this union. Mozellar confessed her hope in Christ at an early age. She united with Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where she worked faithfully at the President of the Usher Board. Mozellar continued her service to the Lord by uniting with The Sanctuary Church, serving as a member of The Senior Saints, faithfully until her passing. Mother Ray, as she was respectfully called, loved to hear Mother Will Martin sing and enjoyed good preaching!

Mozellar was employed at Methodist Hospital for a period of twenty-five years as a Senior Nursing Assistant in the Pediatric Unit. Due to the illness of her late husband Robert Ray, Mozellar retired and became his personal care giver until his death. Mozellar will be remembered for her being a "perfectionist", especially in cleaning. Her children reminisced that she was known for coming behind them, after cleaning chores, with the "white glove" test; to make sure the job was done to her liking. She will be sorely missed.

Mozellar transitioned from this earthly life on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at her home at age of 93. Mozellar was preceded in death by her brothers, John, "W.D.", and sisters Lizzie, and Willie Mae; husbands respectively., George Robertson and Robert Ray.

Mozellar leaves to cherish her memory, children, Mary, George (Willette); John (Lula-L), Bobby (Dottie), Roberta (Jackie), a great host of grand and great-grand children, nieces, nephews, and friends. Take your rest, you fought a good fight.
