Michele Anne Gorvetzian

Sept 30, 1963 - Dec 3, 2017

Michele Anne Gorvetzian gently left us and joined her Father in His Kingdom on December 3, 2017. Michele was born on September 30, 1963 in Hialeah, FL to Judith (Hindman) Brickman and Guy Brickman. She remained a resident of South Florida except while studying and receiving her Bachelor's degree from Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS. At the time of her passing she shared a home with her husband Eddie Gorvetzian and their Schnauzer Hanzie in Davie, Fl. She lived a wonderful life surrounded by the love of family, friends, fellowship and professional peers until the age of 54.

Michele never met a stranger and had an infectious zest for life. Her energy provided a life full of adventure, travel and all things South Florida; especially the Keys. Hers was a style of confidence and fairness. She went all in with everything she took on and exemplified commitment. Regardless of life's ebbs and flows she sought a positive outcome. Her faith in God, her fellows and herself exemplified a spiritual path seeking His will. Her work is finished and has left a legacy that positively impacted her family and community to be cherished and celebrated for years to come.

Since early childhood Michele felt an unwavering call to teach special needs children. She embraced this calling for 31 years as an Exceptional Student Educator with Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Focused and insistent her kids receive opportunities in life and with the help of her colleagues; she dreamed up and implemented programs such as the ESE high school prom and the ESE coffee bar service within the school. These programs rewarded her kids with what we might all experience through service to others, the joy of purposeful living. Her creativity and passion for her kids had no limit and the work came naturally. Yet, she was surprised when nominated for Teacher of the Year. She impacted the lives of hundreds of "her kids" and certainly received great joy in return over the years.

Michele is survived by her husband Eddie Gorvetzian and his son James, son Eddie and wife Cassie, her father Guy Brickman and wife Elizabeth, her mother Judith Brickman, her brother Michael Brickman, her sister Beth Brickman Dunphy and husband Thomas, her nephews Bronson & Guy, her brother Matthew Brickman and wife Minna, her nephews Seth & Heath, her brother-in-law Robert Gorvetzian and wife Barbara. Michele is also survived by the many she loved and the relationships she cherished.

"Michele, touched every life she came across...in her own unique way. She loved her family fiercely and worked her program just as hard. If anyone was important to her and you knew her you knew them. She was gifted and used those talents to love on others. She also was a good cook? She would come to me for guidance but never left me the same. I will miss her greatly...but her touch will stay with me;as my Office and Home are filled with gifts she's given me through the years Good bye...my girl!!! You'll be in my heart ?????? "Michele and her brothers and sister were just young children when I first met them. I was fortunate enough to babysit them on occasion since mine and their parents were, and still are, friends. Michele blossomed into a lovely woman with a beautiful soul and loving heart. Her zeal for life and her warm, caring heart will be deeply missed. She fought the hard fight and is now at peace. She will live on in our hearts and our memories. Thank you Michele for just being the wonderful person everyone should have the privilege of encountering and embracing even if it's for a brief period in their life. You made a difference and will be loved forever! "
