In loving memory of

Raymond Eugene Wahlton
October 21, 1927 - December 2, 2017

Raymond Eugene Wahlton, was born October 21, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to Ernst and Emy
Wahlton. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in speech and hearing, and post masters work in audiology at Northwestern University. After working ten years as a speech and hearing director for the Curative Workshop in Green Bay, he accepted a position as an audiologist with the Department of Public Instruction. He worked there until retirement in 1993.

While in Green Bay and Madison, Ray was active in Indian Guides, the Boy Scouts of America, Kiwanis and YMCA. He also actively served in many capacities at the First United Methodist Church and Olbrich Gardens. He was, in his words, a "sailor, Swede, coffee drinker, gardener, and dabbling artist".

Raymond met his wife, Patricia, while serving as a speech clinician in the Saginaw, Michigan school system. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Wahlton and their children, Mark and Julia Wahlton, Jennifer and Dan Girard, and Melissa and Eric Daimler; and beloved grandchildren Conor, Seth, Spencer, Hannah and Parker. He was a devoted father, husband, Grandpa, Uncle, and community servant. A gentle man of kindness and service, he touched countless lives across Wisconsin, Michigan and Sweden.

We will be remembering him and celebrating his life this Friday, December 8 at 1:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church at 203 Wisconsin Ave in Madison, Wisconsin.
