Isham Benton Jr.
96, of Indianapolis passed away on December 3, 2017. He was born on July 4, 1921 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Isham Sr., and Minnie Benton. Isham was a graduate of Crispus Attucks High School and attended West Virginia State University. He was a Army veteran and prisoner of war during World War II. Isham retired from the VA Medical Center and DFAS (Army Finance Center in the early eighties with over 42 years of service). He deeply cherished his family and is survived by daughter, Valarie Wade, sister, Mary Rose, grandchildren; Brian, LaShanda, Erika,7 great-grandchildren and a host of nephews and other extended family members and good friends.
