Brian Richardson wrote on Jun 18, 2006:

"To Roger, Janice, Ryan, Brett and Brooke, Please accept my sympathy on the death of your mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. I can recall Ryan and Brett sharing stories about their grandmother. One can easily see she cared a lot about her community and family, qualities we can all be inspired by and strive to achieve ourselves. God bless you! â?? Brian Richardson"

Robert Boyd wrote on Jun 17, 2006:

"Judith, Please accept my sincere condolences to you and your family for the loss of your Mother. I see by her picture that you both share the same beautiful smile. You and I are both members of the KHS class of 1960. Although I was vaguely aware that you and I were somehow related back then, I must admit that I now am ashamed that I never took the time to get to know you and share our heritage. I have lost both my parents, Mother in 1995 and Dad in 2003. Our heritage runs through Momâ??s side of the family. She was Marjorie Louise McKay Boyd, Daughter of Charles and Daisy Dean Branson McKay. Grandma Daisy and your Grandfather Robert Way Branson were half brother and sister. Daisy was the Daughter of Robert Chase Branson and his first wife Mahalia Milligan. Robert Way was the Son of Robert Chase and his second wife, Harriet (Hattie) Clemmons. Hattie may be by some stretch of the imagination distant relation to Samuel Langhorn Clemmons, a.k.a., Mark Twain. I have heard both sides of the story saying she was and some saying she was not. Alice Branson Donahue, your Motherâ??s Aunt, is the Mother of Mary Jo Donahue Hendrickson of Keokuk. Alice, born in 1909, is still in Keokuk and doing quite well. I received a very nice letter from her a few months back discussing our ancestors. I have many family members in the Hickory Grove Cemetery from my Fatherâ??s side of the family and I will be visiting there in August while I am in Keokuk. It would be very nice to hear from you. My email address is poppy@cableone.net. I hope the loss of your Mother will be lessened in time by many cherished memories. Very sincerely, Robert Boyd Prescott, Arizona "
