Henry "Hank" George Freesemann
April 9, 1934 - December 6, 2017

Henry "Hank" George Freesemann, 83, of Allison, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at the Waverly Health Center in Waverly, Iowa.

He was born April 9, 1934, in rural Parkersburg, Iowa, to Richard and Flossie (Johnson) Freesemann. Hank graduated from Allison High School in 1952. He was united in marriage to Audrey DeBower on December 17, 1953, at St. James Lutheran Church in Allison, Iowa.

Hank was employed at Rath Packing, Henkel Construction, Bauman Trucking, Knocks Sand and Gravel, Fishel Construction, Allison Community Elevator, and Allison-Bristow Community School as a bus driver. Most recently, he was a local farmer.

Hank was baptized at Christian Reformed Church and confirmed at St. James Lutheran Church. He was an active member of St. James Lutheran Church in Allison, Iowa, where he also served on the Church Council. Hank enjoyed fishing and vacationing in Minnesota and Canada and playing dartball at St. James.

Hank is survived by his wife Audrey Freesemann of Allison, son Keith (Sue) Freesemann of Yorba Linda, California, daughter Lois (late Tony) Silver of Dumont, son Craig (Deb) Freesemann of Waverly, son Bruce (Lisa) Freesemann of Altoona, son Larry (Lisa) Freesemann of Columbia, Missouri, grandchildren Max Freesemann of Yorba Linda, California, Carissa (Dustin) Otto of Corydon, Tori (Rob) Redfern of Mason City, Tonia (Justin) Ries of Rockwell, Amy (Chad) Timmins of Cedar Falls, Nate Freesemann of Cedar Falls, Amber (David) Droessler of Cedar Rapids, Alan Freesemann of Allison, Sgt. Andrew Freesemann of Fort Carson, Colorado, Olivia Freesemann of Altoona, Hallah Freesemann of Altoona, Lianne Freesemann of Olathe, Kansas, Lauren Freesemann of Columbia, Missouri, Lynn Freesemann of Columbia, Missouri, six great-grandchildren, brother Robert (Harriet) Freesemann of Allison, sister Georgette Bauman of Allison, brother Marley (Gretchen) Freesemann of Clear Lake and sister Jeanette (Jan) Franken of Allison.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law Tony Silver and brother-in-law Duane Bauman.
