Jimmy Ross Osbon
July 24, 1973 - December 6, 2017

James Ross Osbon "Jimmy", age 44, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at his home in Middletown, IN, after a lengthy battle with cancer, surrounded by family members and friends.
Born in 1973 in Louisville, Kentucky, Jimmy began his education at Highview Christian Academy in Louisville, attended Southern High School also in Louisville and graduated in 1994 from Shenandoah High School in Middletown, Indiana. He had worked at Kroger's in Louisville, Meijer's in Anderson, Tilt-N-Cue in Anderson and customer service at Middletown Electronics in Middletown. As a youngster, he excelled in Karate and in later years Jimmy enjoyed playing pool, designing and building models, working on craft projects, drawing, painting and spending time with family and friends.
To cherish his memory Jimmy leaves behind his grandmother, Georgetta Burroughs of Louisville; father, James Osbon Sr. (wife Tina) of Middletown; stepfather, Ron Woods (wife JoAnn) of Louisville; stepbrother, Wesley Woods of Louisville; stepbrother, Cody Osbon (wife Amber), of Middletown; stepsister, Michelle Decker Osbon of Jeffersonville; stepbrother, James Osbon, Jr. (wife Torrie) of Horse Cave, Kentucky; stepsister, Stephanie Hinshaw (husband Kent) of Middletown; stepbrother, David Hepfer of Anderson; his loving aunt, Kim McIntire (husband Gary) of Louisville; aunt, Cindy Spink (husband Rudolph) of Louisville; aunt, Carol Martin of Louisville; aunt, Carmen Cochran (husband Herlin) of Whiteland, IN; along with several cousins; nieces and nephews; together with special friends; Nathan, Karl, Nelson, Boomer, Linda, Diane, Janeen, Mary, Gregory, Brian and Tim.
Jimmy was preceded in death by the love of his life, his mother, Pamela Woods; his tremendous stepsister, Amanda Woods; his loving stepbrother, Brandon Osbon; grandfather, Russell Osbon; grandmother, Edna Hotzel Osbon; and his very special grandfather, Edgar Burroughs.
Local services will be Monday, December 11, 2017, at 8:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304.
Visitation will be at Elm Ridge Funeral Home Monday from 7:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 8:00 p.m.
Jimmy will then be transferred to the care of Fern Creek Funeral Home, Fern Creek, Kentucky, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2017, with visitation there from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Entombment will immediately follow the service at Resthaven Memorial Park.
