"I am one of Phyllis's classmates who loved and respected her. For the last 20 years or so she was always in attendance at our "Lunch Bunch" meetings -- an informal gathering of classmates. Though she had many difficulties throughout her life she was always cheerful and upbeat. I loved her sense of humor - and her down to earth views on life. She was so very proud of her family and shared photos and news of them. It was a rare day when you didn't get a hug from her. She made our lives better and I will miss her. God speed Phyliss - and thank you for being my friend. Rachel Keeley Porter - class of 1953."

"My parents (Don & Arlis Krabbenhoft) and Phyllis & Clyde were neighbors for many years while I was growing up. I can remember my parents going to their house for coffee and Phyllis & Clyde coming to ours. She was a great woman and very funny. Her kindness to all of us Krabbenhoft kids caused us to love her not just as a neighbor down the road, but as a member of our family. She will be missed."
