Geraldine Wilson, 81, of Alexandria, Missouri, died at 6:40 PM Saturday, May 19, 2007, at Keokuk Area Hospital.

Mrs. Wilson was born on May 2, 1926 in Keokuk, Iowa the daughter of Clegguart and Edith Hall Mitchell. She married Virgil (Vic) Wilson in Hamilton, Illinois on January 27, 1972. He preceded her in death on September 1, 1993. She and her husband owned and operated Wilson Grocery Store in Alexandria, Missouri.

She was a member of Alexandria Baptist Church, and Royal Neighbors and attended Crossview Fellowship Church. She enjoyed collecting stuffed animals, crocheting, and loved all animals.

She is survived by two sons: Larry C. Fojtik and his wife Dixie of Alexandria, Missouri; Neil Schuette of Las Vegas, Nevada and Paulette Schuette; two sisters: Gertrude Lewis of Keokuk, Iowa; Darlene Schuette of Las Vegas, Nevada; three grandsons: Craig Fojtik and his wife Jonie of Keokuk, Iowa; Brian Schuette and his wife Stephanie of Las Vegas, Nevada; James Schuette and his wife Jennifer of Las Vegas, Nevada; one great granddaughter and one great grandson; several nieces, nephews, & cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, one daughter: Susie Jump; two brothers: Chuck Mitchell and Bob Mitchell; two sisters Betty Hamel and Shirley Critser; one granddaughter Tammy Fojtik Rash.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at Keokuk National Cemetery with Pastor Terry Lovell officiating.

Memorials may be made to Buena Vista Cemetery or Clark County Nursing Home.
