Leo Wayne "Jim" Andrews, Jr., 67, of Alexandria, Missouri, died Wednesday morning, April 9, 2008 at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
Mr. Andrews was born September 29, 1940 in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Leo Wayne, Sr and Helen I. LaFeber Andrews. He had been married to Sandy Nelson.
He graduated from Keokuk High School in 1959. He was raised and lived his early years in Keokuk and later moved to the Wayland and Kahoka, Missouri, area. He was a past president of the local union at Morse Chain Company. He loved to hunt, fish, and watch auto racing. He especially loved his 1932 Ford pickup.
He is survived by three daughters, Julie Crum of Greeneville, Tennessee, Lisa Claiborne of Keokuk and Sherry Cameron of O'Fallon, Missouri; one son, James Andrews of Wayland, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Matt Crum, Zac Crum, Chris Claiborne, Casey Claiborne, Lacey Claiborne, Sterling Winkler, T.J. Andrews, Shyla Andrews, Tansi Heinze and Taylor Cameron; seven great grandchildren; long time companion, Virginia Alvis of Kahoka, Missouri; a sister, Rae Lynn Rose and her husband, Emmanuel, of Keokuk; two brothers, Tom Humes and his wife, Sandra, of Keokuk and Jerry Humes and his wife, Patricia, of Argyle, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by parents and a daughter-in-law, Tina.
Graveside inurnment was Saturday, April 12, at Montrose Cemetery, in Montrose, Iowa.
