"Deepest Sympathy to the Handyside family, I knew many of you, and Danny was a super nice guy. He and his wife always came through my checkout lane at Wal-Mart, and we would talk about sports. He was in charge of our bus when we went to watch the KHS Boys State Football games and always had good things to say about my nephew and the team. He loved his family and grandchildren deeply and was always proud. He always had a smile on his face. He's with God Now and Resting in Peace. Hold on to the memories and he will always be with you. God Bless! "

"I want to express my sympathy and condolences to Dan's family and friends. I grew up and knew Dan throughout high school, and am extremely saddened by his passing. Living away from Keokuk, I didn't see Dan as much as I'd like over the years, but the last two years or so I was able to visit with him and chat over breakfast, along with Stuart Ewing. Dan was an extremely kind and caring person. I will miss him greatly. Our hope is in Christ, and I know we will see Dan in heaven."
