"I was devastated to learn of Dr. Tom's passing. When I moved here from CA over three years ago the deal was sealed when I saw the IU bathroom. As a fellow IU grad and frequent visitor to S.C. we had plenty to talk about and he was always friendly, positive and caring. He was on a quest to replace all of my fillings and I got to see him one last time when I made an appt late this summer.I had been meaning to call him to tell him that he did such a great job this time I don't even notice I have a new filling.I remember leaving after my last appt and telling the staff that their office was just the best. There was always a special something about Tom...perhaps best illustrated by the fact that when, as fifth graders, many of us who decided to join band opted for clarinet, flute, coronet, or drums...Tom played French horn! I learned a few years ago that he had become a dentist...my father was a dentist who loved his profession and it sounded like a perfect fit for Tom.
