In loving memory of

Simon E. Krasnowski
August 27, 1998 - December 20, 2017

Waunakee: Simon Krasnowski died unexpectedly on December 20, 2017, at the age of 19. Born on August 27, 1998 in Madison, Wisconsin, Simon was the son of Kris (Simonson) and Rick Krasnowski. He grew up in Waunakee, Wisconsin, and was a 2016 graduate of Waunakee High School where he played on the varsity tennis team. He was a sophomore at UW-Whitewater majoring in business.

Simon was a deep thinker with a tender heart. Always intellectually curious, he had a wide variety of interests from astrophysics to movies and loved engaging in a good philosophical discussion. An avid car guy, music-lover, long-boarder and outdoor enthusiast, Simon was most at home at the family cabin where we spent many happy days on the lake, around the fire, and in the woods. He worked at Milio's in Waunakee which he truly enjoyed and where he felt like a member of the family.

Simon is survived by his parents; loving brother Sam (Waunakee); grandparents Lynn and Ed Krasnowski (Waunakee) and grandfather Robert Simonson (Neenah); aunts and uncles Terri and Erik Simonson (De Pere) and Kaaren (Paras) Harrison and Ryan Harrison (Waunakee); cousins Kelsey and Riley Simonson, Sofia Paras, and Reagan, Nick and Lexi Harrison; and many other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Shirley Simonson.

Simon was deeply, deeply loved and will be forever missed by his family and friends. He was a bright light and brought us so much joy. He lives on in our hearts in the arms of the Lord. We want to thank all of Simon's friends, work family, and the many others who have reached out to express their love and support. We are overwhelmed by your kindness and compassion.

A celebration of Simon's life will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Peace Lutheran Church, 701 S Century Ave, Waunakee, WI. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am with a memorial service at noon and a luncheon following. A memorial fund for Simon will be established. Please share a memory at www.CressFuneralService.com.

Laura Liebe wrote on Dec 26, 2017:

"This is such a hard reality to grasp... Rick, Kris, Sam, and Simon were such a very big part of raising our kids in the family culdesac. We spent most days and nights when they were young riding bikes, playing baseball or kickball in the circle or having neighborhood get togethers and every morning at the bus stop corner with that sweet faced, handsome brown eyed boy. Kris and Rick are the kindest, good-natured, calm, wonderful parents that anyone could ask for and Sam - such a protective big brother. Simon was so very lucky to grow up in such a loving, supportive family - including grandparents and extended family. Rick, Kris, Sam and Family, Simon is very much a part of our fondest memories and I hope you are able to find comfort in those memories as well - especially reflecting upon what a wonderful life you provided for him. So much love and support for you all, Jay, Laura, Brandyn, Bryce and Meaghan Lliebe"
