Barbara Sacharski, age 81, of Cottage Grove, WI, passed away in the company of her daughter, at Stoughton Hospital, on December 24, 2017.
Barb was born in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Annie Mae and Patrick Ryan. She married her husband of 42 years, Daniel Sacharski on May 2, 1964. They adopted their only daughter, Judy, in 1968.
Barb loved her family, friends, and dogs more than anything. She loved a good laugh and had a great sense of humor. She was a gifted knitter, seamstress, gardener, and cook who enjoyed making gifts and food for family and friends. Barb was kind, generous, and always had a smile and friendly word for everyone she met.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy & Todd Ricci, of Madison, WI, grandson, Nate Ricci of Jacksonville, FL , granddaughter Anna Ricci of SLC, UT , Sister Jackie Owens, of Brevard, NC, brother Mike Ryan(Cheryl) of Vero Beach, FL, and numerous special nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, and her dog Mitzy. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dan, her parents, Annie Mae and Patrick Ryan, and her sister Patricia McEnaney.
A Celebration of Barb's Life will be held Friday, January 19 at 1:00pm in the Community Room at Taylor Ridge Apartments, 510 Westlawn Dr, Cottage Grove, WI 53527
The family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to the entire Heartland Hospice team for your loving care, friendship, and kindness over the past 16 months. A special thanks to the nursing staff at Soughton Hospital for your outstanding care and compassion.
