Steven G. Kline

Steven G. Kline, 69, of Waterloo, died Monday, December 25, 2017 at Covenant Medical Center.   He was born in Waterloo on December 6, 1948, the son of W.C. and Suzanne Loesch Kline.   Steve m arried Tedda Sheldon; they later divorced.                           He g raduated from West High School in 1967.   Steve started working at the family business, Kline Optical, at the age of 12. He then worked as an optician for Dr. Gary Phelps, then Waterloo Eye Clinic, which later became Cedar Valley Eye Clinic.   He played softball in Waterloo and Cedar Falls and coached Optimist softball. Steve was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, and spent every Thursday night with his friends.   Steve is survived by his daughter: Robin (Steve) Olsson of Waterloo, IA, two brothers: Richard (Ann) Kline of Donna, TX and Bill (Cindy) Kline of Waterloo, IA and a special friend: Paula Harvey of Lamont, IA.   He was preceded in death by his parent.
