Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Larson
March 18, 1933 - December 31, 2017

Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Larson, 84, of Sheffield, Iowa, formerly of Dougherty, passed away December 31, 2017, at the Sheffield Care Center. She was born on March 18, 1933, in rural Dougherty, to William and Lena (Baker) Esser.

Betty attended country school and Rockwell. She was united in marriage to Wayne Eugene Larson on December 2, 1950, in Cartersville.

Betty was a homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockwell, the Sacred Heart Ladies Guild and the Dougherty Senior Citizens.

Betty was an avid card player, baker, gardener and canner. She enjoyed watching and attending sporting events particularly for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty also enjoyed having coffee with her friends.

Betty is survived by her husband of sixty-seven years, Wayne Larson of Sheffield, son Bob (Marcia) Larson of Dougherty, daughter Karen (Ray) Clark of Sheffield, daughter Karla (Bob) Bradley of Marion, son Randy (Kacy) Larson of Sheffield, daughter-in-law Cheryl Larson of Sheffield, grandchildren Jamie (Matt) Brinkman of Council Bluffs, Tony (Becky) Larson of Clear Lake, Jennie (Kevin) Craighton of Sheffield, Jeremy Clark of Randall, Brandon Bradley of Marion, Adam Bradley of Marion, Ahna Larson of Sheffield, Preston Larson of Sheffield and Austin Larson of Sheffield, eight great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, sister Leone Coonradt of Milford, sister Arlene Kirchoff of Rockwell, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Lena, son Rick Larson, brother Leo Esser, sisters Dorothy Ross, Rose Wihlm and Alice Stricker and great-granddaughter Cole Lexis Larson.
