"I also met Jean when I worked at MSAB and she worked tirelessly to make sure that the Teachers of Blind/VI in Minnesota always got the best professional development, superior education, and worked to make sure we held our state to a high standard of rigor in teaching. At the same time, Jean was quick to laugh and made people feel at home not just during the many conferences and workshops she arranged, but in our 'down time' when we'd get to know each other more personally. Her high standards formed the professional lives of so many! Warm memories of Jean as she moves on."

"While I only met Jean in person once, at MSAD when I first started working in MN, I have inherited many of the programs and initiatives she worked so hard to establish. Minnesota students with visual impairments and their families have many valuable resources and benefit from a variety of learning opportunities because of Jean's dedication and expertise. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family."
