Clara "Joan" Krueger

Clara "Joan" Krueger, age 85, of Council Bluffs, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 2nd, 2018. Joan was born December 21st, 1932, in Neola, Iowa to the late Vernon and Dorothy (Hough) Jensen. She graduated from Oakland, Iowa High School. She then went to work as a telephone operator. Joan met her future husband, the late Mel Krueger at a skating rink. They married in 1953. Joan was a homemaker, loved to sew, cook, collect recipes and made the best yeast rolls. They raised three boys. Joan started her spiritual journey in 1980 when she put her trust and faith in Jesus. She regularly attended Stonecroft Ministries, Christian Womens Club. Joan was quite a prayer warrior as you would often hear her say, "I will pray about that". She was a member of Valley View Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husband, Joan was preceded in death by her brother, Darrel Jensen. Joan is survived by sons, Larry (Cassy) Krueger, of Kansas City, MO, Bruce Krueger, of Lee's Summit, MO, Steve (Rana) Krueger, of Council Bluffs; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
