Laura L. Rice, 97, of Rochester, MN died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Samaritan Bethany Nursing Home.
Laura Lorena Rice was born August 22, 1920 to Lewis and Clara (Zamzow) Mahnke in Stewardson, IL. Laura's family moved to Dodge Center, MN at a young age. She graduated from Dodge Center High School. She married Louis Hollenbach, they later divorced. She married Howard Prouty, he later passed away. She married Gerald Rice, he preceded her in death. For 75 years Laura did seamstress work from her home in Rochester. She was a member of Zumbro Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, sewing, going to garage sales, looking through photo albums and enjoyed family gatherings.
Laura is survived by her children, Robert Hollenbach of Minneapolis, MN, Diane (Robert) Krogh of Rochester, MN, Sharon (Robert) Wacker of Fort Collins, CO, Darlene Kienast of Oronoco, MN, Larry (Roseanne) Hollenbach of St. Cloud, MN, Rodney (Alice) Hollenbach of Rochester, David (Connie) Hollenbach of Rochester, MN and one foster child, Steve Walsh of Coon Rapids, MN; 14 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Richard; three husbands; one grandson, Dirk Cornelius; and one great grand-daughter, Arielle Quast.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes' Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.

"Dear Family and friends, As a member of Zumbro she was part of our family. It is never easy to loose a member of your family a Mom is extra hard. 97 she did have a full life just about the age of my own Mom. I will have you in my prayers that the Lord will wrap you in His love and be with you in the next days. . "
