Jacqueline Cline Cross

Jacqueline Cline Cross, age 92, died Friday, December 22, in Port Charlotte, Florida.
Jacqueline was born in Lawrence, Kansas September 15, 1925, the daughter of Valeria May and Charles Edward Cline. She attended Kansas University and subsequently went to work at the Hercules Powder Plant in Kansas City where she met her future husband, Louis Howard Cross. They were married on February 27, 1945.
Jacqueline spent her years as a pastor's wife and mother to their four daughters. Her devotion was to the Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee) and supporting her husband throughout his multiple pastorates and positions in Elizabethton, TN, Lake Worth, Florida, Ft. Myers, Florida, Tampa, Florida, Greenville, South Carolina, Riverview, Michigan, Lakeland, Florida, Fresno, California, and the Church of God Stewardship Department in Cleveland Tennessee.
Jacqueline and Louis' retirement years were spent in Lakeland, Florida until his death in 2004. Jacqueline spent her remaining years in Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte, Florida.
Jacqueline is survived by her daughters, Deborah C. Harris of San Antonio, TX, Lynn (Jerre) Sadler of Bartow, FL, Julie (Glenn) Forrest of Punta Gorda, FL, and Teresa Thomas (Johnnie Jones) of Tampa, FL, eleven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Jacqueline was an avid reader, accomplished seamstress and cook, and loved the study of language and words.
A memorial service and internment are planned for a future date in Chattanooga, TN.
