MUSCATINE, Iowa - Ronald "Duck" C. Schreurs Sr, 70, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at his home.

Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, in Greenwood Cemetery Soldiers Section. Military Rites will be provided by the combined squads of the American Legion Post #27 and the V.F.W. Post # 1565.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the family in care of Ron Schreurs Jr. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com

Ron was born on July 11, 1948, in Muscatine, the son of Charles and Donna Bishop Schreurs.

He was a veteran of the US Army. He retired from Allsteel Warehouse. Ron enjoyed bowling, softball, and racing.

Those left to honor his memory include his son, Ron C. Schreurs Jr. of Fruitland; one daughter, Rebeca Sue Marks and husband, Steve, of Plant City, Florida; three grandchildren, Cole and Bailey Schreurs, and Jenna Marks; siblings, Keith Schreurs and Larry Schreurs, both of Fruitland, Kelly Reisen of Muscatine, and Kearce Peters of Joplin, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; and his significant other, Deb Harvey of Muscatine.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Alvin.
