Elizabeth Mueller

Elizabeth E. Mueller, age 94, of Bluff Siding, WI, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born on February 2, 1923, in Elgin, MN, to Herman and Anna (Schuchard) Gusa, and was united in marriage with Marvin T. Mueller on January 8, 1941, in Altura, MN. Marvin preceded her in death on May 31, 2014.
She will be remembered for her gentleness, sweetness and kindness, which impressed everyone she met.
Elizabeth worked for many years for Choates in Winona, and enjoyed meeting regularly with "The Choate Group" after she retired. She volunteered for years at Volunteer Services in Winona and treasured the friends she made there. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.
She enjoyed crocheting and made beautiful afghans, which she gifted to family and friends. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed trying new recipes for sweet treats for family and visitors. Her Christmas boxes of homemade cookies and candies will be missed. She loved spending time with her family, gardening, fishing, traveling, and playing scrabble and cards - her favorite games being Pinochle and 500. Most of all, she loved going for rides and looking at the beautiful scenery.
Elizabeth is lovingly survived by her children: Don (Kay) Mueller, Goodview, MN; Virginia (Dennis) Crawford, DeKalb, IL, and Nancy (Frank) Kujak, Bluff Siding, WI; grandchildren: Steve (Tammy) Mueller; Rick (Belinda) Mueller; Jordan (Emily Crouse) Mueller; Rebecca (Eric Reidelberger) Crawford and Matthew (Lesley Timpe) Crawford; great-grandchildren: Christian, Mariah, Shane, Grace, and Gavin; sister-in-law, Winnie Mueller; as well as many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; sons: Alvin and David; and 6 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka. The Reverend Monsignor Thomas J. Hargesheimer will officiate.
Elizabeth will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Steve, Rick, and Jordan Mueller; Rebecca and Matthew Crawford; and Christian Mueller.
It is respectfully requested that memorials be considered in lieu of flowers.
