Kenneth E. Prodzinski
May 27, 1928 - January 8, 2018

Kenneth Earl Prodzinski, 89, of Watkins Manor, died Monday, January 8, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary's Campus. He was born on May 27, 1928 in Winona to August and Marie (Braun) Prodzinski. Kenneth enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving during World War II. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Plinski on June 25, 1949. He worked at Peerless Chain for 43 years until he retired in 1988. Kenneth was an avid fisherman who loved catching sunfish. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and tinkering with anything he could. He had a great sense of humor and loved to joke around. He is survived by his children, Linda (Don) Dennis of Goodview, Pat (Rita) Prodzinski of Homer, Minn., Kendra (Gary) Pflughoeft of Bluff Siding, Wis., Kevin (Beverly) Prodzinski of Wabasha, Minn., and Kirk (Nora) Prodzinski of Idaho; grandchildren, Holley Smith, Amanda Johnson, Jeff Prodzinski, Brian Prodzinski, Jennifer Al-Saeed, Hunter Prodzinski, Noah Prodzinski, Grant Prodzinski, Karson Prodzinski, and Quinn Prodzinski; 12 great-grandchildren, sister, Peggy (Don) Lewis of Rochester, Minn; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis; grandson, Joshua Prodzinski on June 30, 1973; and a great-grandson, Mustaffa Al-Saeed on Jan. 27, 2000; parents; and brother, Delos Prodzinski. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 11, 2018 at The Great Hall in Watkins Manor, led by Funeral Celebrant Dianne Rislow. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Winona, at a later date, with Military Honors to be rendered by the American Legion Leon J. "To the Family of Mr.P, That's what we all called him in our neighborhood! He was a kind soul,everyday when I went to the park or to walk my daycare kids,Mr.P was always outside to see the kids, he would shake their hands & always ask me how my day was going?
