In loving memory of

Pat Hyslop

DEFOREST/DANE-Pat Hyslop, formerly of DeForest, born and raised in Dane, has died at age 74, following an extended illness. Upon the death of her husband in July of 2012, she moved to Kentucky to be nearby and attended to by her brother, Bill, during her difficult, final years. Pat graduated from Lodi H.S. in 1961, attended Whitewater University, and was an office clerical employee of State Farm Insurance for several years before moving to her long career as a doctor's office assistant and records transcriber at Mendota State Hospital in Madison. Pat loved to travel making frequent trips to visit widely-spread friends and family. She also served as volunteer travel guide for group excursions to sites of national interest. Her other passion was in local "live theatre" wherein she occasionally served as volunteer usher. Pat never forgot her roots, choosing to spend her life where the natural beauty and serenity of the semi-rural area surrounding Madison gave her comfort and satisfaction.

Surviving relatives are brothers, Dick (Rosaline) Hyslop of Carrollton, TX and Bill (Emma) Hyslop of Florence, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reed and Ruby Hyslop of Dane and by her husband, Terry Stolen of DeForest.

A memorial service will be conducted at Winn-Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy. Q, Waunakee, at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, with the Rev. Denise Cole presiding. Interment of remains will follow at Dane United Church of Christ Cemetery. The family requests no memorial gifts or flowers. We suggest that any donations go to your Alzheimer's Association.

Please share memories of Pat.
