Harold L. Althouse, 72, of Hagerstown, MD, formerly of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away Saturday, January 6th in Doey's House Hospice of Washington County in Hagerstown, MD.
Harold was married to Catherine R. (Rothenberger) Althouse.
Born in Reading he was the son of the late Harold Althouse, Sr. and Ellen I. (Reed) Althouse.
Harold was a member of Paramount Baptist Church in Hagerstown.
Harold was formerly a truck driver for Air Liquide Cryogenics in Reading, PA.
Harold served in the Marines during the Vietnam War.
Surviving are two children, Robert Althouse of Farrell, PA and Michele Althouse of Hagerstown.
There are three grandchildren, Kimberly Althouse and Elena and Reed Althouse.
There is one great grandchild, Jason, son of Kimberly Althouse.
Also, there is a sister, Marianne Tranovich and husband Edward Tranovich of Fort Myers, Fl.
He is predeceased by a sister, Barbara Althouse.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 15th at Noon in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA 19560 with Pastor Chuck Schroer officiating.
A viewing will be held on Monday from 11 am until time of service in the funeral home.
Interment will follow the service on Monday in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Twp., PA
