Betty S. Andersen
August 25, 1933 - January 8, 2018

Stoughton- Betty S. Andersen, age 84, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018. She was born in Oregon on August 25, 1933 the daughter of James and Clarabelle Stone. Betty married Carl Andersen on June 7, 1952 in Oregon. She worked at First National Bank in Stoughton for 40 years until her retirement. Betty enjoyed playing cards with friends, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren, especially attending their events. Betty is survived by three children, Pat (Rich) Knipfer, Mike, and Kim (Jeff) Vale; six grandchildren, Tina, Tami (Mark), Jill, Paul, Greg (Gretchen Rusch), and Conner; 7 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and five siblings, Mary (Lloyd) Bavery, Margaret (Bud) Hanson, James (Lila) Stone Jr., Elinor (Bill) Smith, and John Stone. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 15, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 625 E. Netherwood Street, Oregon, with Rev. Paul Markquart officiating. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, following the services, in the church fellowship hall. Friends may greet the family from 9:30 AM until the time of services on Monday at church.
