Joseph Peter Grzezinski , born September 8, 1928, in South Bend and passed away on January 10, 2018, in Indianapolis.
Joe worked at Studebaker Aviation where he met Lillian Bokon. They married in 1952, were very devoted to each and had celebrated their 65th anniversary last year until Lillian's death. Their faith was a very strong factor in their relationship with each other and everyone they met. Joe is also predeceased by their two children and his sister, Rita Zablocki of South Bend. He is survived by his Godson, Tom Sikorski and many nieces/nephews and friends. Joe loved Notre Dame football, the Cubs and Colts. He was very active at St Luke Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, former usher for many years, Eucharistic Minister, sponsor with Lillian for Prepare Enrich Program and with the Cursillo. When Studebaker closed, Joe moved to Indianapolis and worked at American United Life Insurance. He retired in 1991 so he had more time to travel with Lil and play golf.
Visitation will be at Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel, 740 E. 86th Street on Sunday, January 14 from 2-5:00. Mass of Christian Burial at St Luke Catholic Church on Monday, January 15 at 11:30.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the church or to Little Sisters of the Poor.
