Catherine Tetlak
March 5, 1928 - January 9, 2018

Catherine "Kitty" Tetlak, 89, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at home. She was the long-devoted wife of the late Paul A. "Rip" Tetlak who died in 2012. Residing in the Reading area all her life, Kitty was a daughter of the late John J. and Anna V. (Billi) Kalina.

Growing up, Kitty attended the Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic School in Reading. She worked at Western Electric for 33-years, a member of Telephone Pioneers of America, and retired in 1987. After retirement, she and her husband traveled the world together. Kitty liked to be active and enjoyed bowling and playing bingo. Each day Kitty would attend Mass at the Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church. She was faithfully devoted to activities and services at church.

Kitty is survived by her son, Gregory P. Tetlak and his companion, Debra A. Ponis as well as a sister, Mary J. Wloczewski.
In addition to her husband, Kitty is predeceased by six brothers: Frank Kalina, John Kalina, Andrew Kalina, Michael Kalina, William Kalina, and Stephen Kalina; and a sister, Anna Kalina.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 3121 Kutztown Rd, Reading, Pa., 19605, by Celebrant, Rev. Msgr. Dennis T. Hartgen.

Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., just prior to Mass, also at the church.
