Perry Howard Moore was born December 7, 1948, in Marshalltown, IA, son of Perry O. and Marjorie H. Moore. His early years were spent growing up on the family dairy farm in Toledo, IA. At the age of seven, the family moved to Marshalltown where he attended school and graduated from Marshalltown High School, then went on to the University of Wyoming. Perry enjoyed rewarding careers with his businesses, Moore Construction and Western Supply. In his free time, he was dedicated to the Marshall County Fair Grounds. The results of his hard work were represented in the rodeos, annual fireworks displays, car race promotion, and a first rate Fair. In July 2017, he was inducted into the Iowa Fair Hall of Fame for his 40 years of service. Perry's greatest joy was fishing with his dad and his boys. He was multi-talented, both musically and artistically, and his love of all creatures and appreciation of nature was beautiful.

In death, he is rejoined with his parents and a son, PH. Those left to cherish his memory are his fiancé, Diane Garrett; children: Cody Moore, Coleman (Joye) Moore, Justin Hayes, and Jessica Mills; grandchildren: Audrey and Oliver Moore; and his sister, Susan (Michael) Leavy, all of whom he loved dearly.

"Perry and I were band mates back in the day and I've never know a better, more fun guy to play and hang around with. He was always ready to try new material and up for anything that the group wanted to do. It would be an understatement to say we had a lot of fun."
