Robert Jonathon Lockman
July 20, 1937 - January 13, 2018

Robert J. Lockman, 80, of Fort Dodge passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Trinity Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Shawn Roberts and Rev. Marvin Smith officiating. Burial will follow at North Lawn Cemetery. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2018 at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.
Robert is survived by his children, Debra Lockman of Tacoma, WA; Kevin Lockman; Lance Lockman all of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Miranda Moore, Mahlik Lockman, Chance Lockman, Devon Lockman, and Davion Lockman; great grandchildren, King Boyd, I'zaihana Boyd, Kayieana Boyd, and Ka'Marion Boyd; brothers, Harry Lockman of Denver, CO and Richard Lockman of Lincoln, NE.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Mary (Reed) Lockman; wife, Edna (Harper) Lockman in 2014; grandson, Trey Moore; brothers, Jim and Donald Lockman; and sisters, Mary Holiday, Margaret Delia Posey, and Elsie Payne.
Robert Jonathan Lockman was born July 20, 1937 in Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated in Fort Dodge. In 1961, he was united in marriage to Edna Harper and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. Robert worked for Martin Marietta for over 29 years until retiring in 1999. He attended Coppin Chapel AME Methodist Church. As an avid antique collector, Robert enjoyed tinkering with cars and other antiques. He loved going to car shows and sitting in the garage just listening to music. He enjoyed taking walks. Robert was well-known around town and had many friends. The love he had for his family shone the brightest of all. We will miss our father, grandfather, brother and uncle dearly. Forever in our hearts.
Memorials may be left to family discretion.
