LaVerne W. Leqve, 82, died on January 17, 2018 at Cottagewood in Rochester. He was born on January 31, 1935 in Rochester to Sander and Lillian (Krahn) Leqve.
LaVerne attended Byron Schools and married Judy Fitch on July 14, 1956 in Rochester. The couple moved to the Pine Island area in 1958 where LaVerne farmed. He also did custom farming, raised beef cows, logged and trapped for the state of Minnesota. LaVerne enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Judy of Pine Island; one son, Jim (Michele) of Rochester; one daughter, Sue Albee of Waterford, WI and one granddaughter, Sara Albee of Waterford, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Evelyn Smith.
There will be a reception from 2:00-4:00pm on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Ranfranz and Vine Reception Centre. Private family burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family.
