I guess my time on this earth has come to an end. Just as I was brought into this world by the grace of God, I am leaving by the grace of God. I know so many people loved me and I was able to love them. I took every opportunity to be held and hugged and kissed and give hugs and kisses back. Even though I will be flipping up a storm in heaven, Mommy and daddy have planned for me to save lives. My liver will go on to save another infants life. My lungs will go on to save another infants life. My heart, which never stopped beating and never gave up, will go on to save another infants life. I pray Mommy and daddy will be able to meet my donor recipients and know that I live on!! In only 17 short months, I am fulfilling God's purpose in my life, to save and deliver others, to help understand that there is a God and He is so good!! Most people it takes a lifetime for them to realize what their purpose in life is, why God made them exist... THIS IS MY PURPOSE. -JPE

"I'm deeply saddened by the loss of Joaquin. I have several children with various illnesses I pray for regularly and he was on my list. I sat behind him at church a few times and he immediately had my heart. He had such a sweet demeanor and always a smile. I have a 14 month old and can not fathom the pain and grief you are enduring. My prayers God sends you some light, peace and comfort in these dark days. Joaquin is whole now - spirit, mind and body, in the hands of our Savior."

"I know exactly what you and your husband are going through. We lived at the hospitals, and my 9 month old son had numerous brain surgeries, unfortunately, he just recently passed away on November 2nd. He was diagnosed with hydrocephalus and battled a very rare brain tumor, at/rt. There are no words to understand the reason of this, but believing in God and remaining in his faith will continue to let you all have strength. Just remember, we have baby Angels that are rejoicing in heaven and are no longer suffering. My sincere condolences. - Roxanna Villalobos - De Leon, Weslaco, Texas."

"Joaquin, Doug and I are so lucky we got to see your smile and listen to your sweet giggles. I will always cherish the moment I got to hold you, when you were just a few months old, nestled in my arms. You changed the world around you the moment you were born. You melted hearts, lifted spirits and turned your mom and dad into beautiful parents. Watching them love you, protect you, guide you and show you the world was our privilege, and a gift only you could give. I am so proud our daughter got to meet you and take a picture with you. She will always know about the sweet boy who gave his life to help other children live. We will live you forever Joaquin.

"
We absolutely loved seeing him at church on Sundays, he brightened up the room with his laughter and smile. Last time I saw him was at our Christmas Eve mass. He was so joyful and interactive with us, clapping his hands together for all to hear. We even got "sushed" for being too loud. Keep this precious little man in your prayers, along with his mommy and daddy during this difficult time. ??'? xo

"I only know rosemary but my heart breaks for all of you. I know what it is like to lose a child. We couldn't donate my daughters organs (cancer) and I think donating Joaquin's organs to save others is the most amazing thing you could do. A little piece of him will be in three other children. He lives on. How wonderful is that. I hope it helps you with your pain. Praying for all of you. Linda taormina "
