Our beloved mother and grandmother, Joan Adams, was called to her eternal home on January 26, 2018. Her pride and joy, her children, were by her side. Today, we celebrate her life and embrace the impact she has given on all of our lives.
Joan was born on November 18, 1920 to Blazej and Berniece Kendzior in Detroit, Michigan. At the young age of 6, she was placed in the Felician Sisters Convent Orphanage with her sister after the death of her parents. She made it her home until she was 16 years old.
She was united in marriage on June 30, 1946 to the love of her life, Eldon Adams. Happiness and love were the theme to her life. She wanted to not only fill her heart with it, but also their home. Together they accomplished that, bringing in 7 dedicated children. Imagine the chaos and busy activity on the daily norm in the Adams household, yet she ALWAYS remained with a smile. There was always enough love to be shared, whether it was to her children, grandchildren, or the children she cared for in her home over the years. You have never met a more loving, patient, and loyal woman than Joan.
Joan is survived by her 7 children; Steve (Sharon) Adams of Webster City, IA; Mike Adams of Webster City, IA; Chris (Sandy) Adams of Webster City, IA; Cindy (Mark) Weldin of Williams, IA; Marcia (John) Pahl of Webster City, IA; Carla (Lou) Montuoro of Cedar Rapids, IA; Sonya (Scott) Neuroth of Webster City, IA. "My deepest condolences to the entire Adams family, formerly of Kamrar, IA. I knew Joan and her family for 50+ years and watched her seven children grow into adults, and got to know the family by first knowing Joan's second child and son, Michael, in 1967. Joan was always such a cordial person and had tremendous love for all seven children in her family and all their children. She will be sorely missed by all her family and friends. RIP Joan Adams!"

"Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for each and everyone of you!! Joannie and your whole family has been such a big part of my life for so many years. Beginning back in 1978 and living across the street from Joannie, her wonderful way of being my two boy's caregiver for many years, and the true love I always felt from her when I would visit. She has always had a special place in my heart and made me feel like I was always part of her family. Her potty training skills and the love that she gave to my children was beyond what a normal baby sitter would ever provide!! Getting to know each one of of you personally has proved her love and has been such a blessing and support to me over the years. When I lost my own Mother, you were all there for me. Everyone talks about her "rah rahs" and both of my boys were lucky enough to receive those and even I got a couple from her from time to time!! Love to you all and you should all be so proud and blessed to have had such a wonderful "Mama"!! Love you all, Colleen Hansen"
