Robert D O'Rourke, 91, of Fort Collins, Colorado passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Robert was born on July 2, 1926 in Enid, Oklahoma to Ray and Hedwig O'Rourke. He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving in the South Pacific during WWll, and attended multiple Universities, earning degrees in Education and Psychology. On June 25, 1949 he married the love of his life, Lou O'Rourke. The two were married for 59 years, up to her passing in 2009.
Robert loved music and the outdoors, and volunteered to help the environment and his community. In his spare time he was a talented wood carver of folk art. He worked in the Public School System as a teacher, counsellor and psychologist, along with having a private practice. Robert was also a published writer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and wife. Robert is survived by his four children; Michael O'Rourke, David O'Rourke, Janell O'Rourke, and Mark O'Rourke. There are no services scheduled at this time. Please visit allnutt.com to share fond memories and expressions of sympathy.
