Nancy Jane (Osterholm) Lee of Glenwood, Iowa, passed away on January 28, 2018, at the age of 83 years, 8 months, and 15 days, with family by her side.

Nancy, the oldest of three children of Stewart H. and Evelyn S. (Mardesen) Osterholm, was born on May 13, 1934. Nancy lived all her life in Glenwood and graduated from high school in 1952. From there, she began her 42 year career with the Union Pacific Railroad, retiring in 1994.

Nancy and James "Sam" Ellis Lee were united in marriage on August 30, 1953 in Glenwood. Their marriage was blessed with three daughters, Michelle "Mickey", Marcia, and Maricelle.

Nancy was a huge Iowa Hawkeyes fan and loved sports of every kind. Most of her life was cheering-on her younger brothers, her daughters, her grandchildren, and a lot of "adopted" children. Nancy loved to travel, as long as the last stop on the trip was Las Vegas. She always said, "I'm lucky in love and lucky at the blackjack table". Nancy was an avid reader and loved her Harlequin Romances. After Sam passed away in 2014, Nancy moved into the slow lane. She enjoyed being at home and playing "princens" with her great granddaughter.

In addition to her loving husband Sam, she was also preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law; sister-in-law Patricia Thomas; brothers-in-law, Richard Thomas and Darwin Bradley; and son-in-law Jason Qualset.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Mickey Qualset of Bellevue, NE, Marcia (Darryl) Leu of Malvern, IA, and Maricelle Lee and friend Keith Buffin of Glenwood; grandchildren, Mallory (Nathan) Murray of Silver City, IA, Darci (Jeremy) Steele of Princeton, TX, and Darryk Leu of Malvern; great grandchildren, Evelyn Suzanne Murray and Kelton Lee Frederick Murray; brothers, Lynn (Pauline) Osterholm of Omaha, NE, and LeMar (Sharon) Osterholm of Glenwood; sister-in-law Janet Bradley of Glenwood; a host of other relatives; and many friends.

"To the Lee girls and families, Mickey, Marcia, Meriselle. Our families have know each other since forever. I always knew in the stands sat Sam and Nancy and my mom and dad no matter what field or court I was playing on. At least now the two biggest sports fans and friends of my family and I are up in heaven cheering. There were so many fun times we had through the years. I always knew during an argument that if I called Nancy she would settle it. So sorry for your loss, my mom will miss their frequent conversations. Debra Holmes Feller"
