David Charles Walling, 79, of Clinton, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at his home. Services will be held at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 10:30AM. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 4 to 7PM. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery, Clinton. Pallbearers will be Andrew, Adam and Steven Kinney, John and Mike Strunk and Mick Cramm.

David was born September 23, 1938 in Iowa City, the son of Anthony and June Ernestine (Walling) Charnoski. He was a United States Air force Vietnam veteran. David married Ann Marie Bacon in 1957 in Illinois.
He was employed as a maintenance technician for Hawkeye Chemical for many years prior to retiring.
Survivors his wife, Ann of Clinton; children, David (Ann) Walling of Clinton; Janice Kinney of Iowa City and Kevin Duane Walling of Iowa City; four grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and brother, Pete Charnoski of Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.
