Gregory Wilburn Steagall, of Franklin, WI, died Tuesday, December 15, 2008 in Aspirus Wausau Hospital as the result of a head injury accident. He was 63 years old

He was born January 31, 1945 in Antigo, WI, Son of Agnes (Brown) Steagall of White Lake and the late Wilburn Steagall.
He married Mary Mierzwa on June 23, 1973 in Sheboygan. She survives.

He was born in Antigo and moved to Milwaukee as a child. He graduated from Bay View High School in 1963. He served in the Army Security Agency of the U. S. Army in Vietnam and Germany prior to attending Milwaukee Area Technical College. He was employed at Johnson Controls for 28 years retiring in 2000. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and gardening. .

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by sister, Lana Buehler West Allis; 2 brothers-in-law, Tom (Dana) Mierzwa Silver Spring, MD, Robert (Carol) Mierzwa Sheboygan; 2 sisters-in-law, Judy (Charles) Gerdes Fairlawn, OH, Patricia Mierzwa Milwaukee; nephew, Robert Buehler, Jr. West Allis; niece, Dana Buehler St. Francis; 3 great nephews, Christian, Robert John lll, and Joseph Buehler; special cousin, Gerald Buck Brown White Lake; also survived by many loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers-in-law Gerald and James Mierzwa

Funeral services will be held at Bradley Funeral Home, Friday, December 19, 2008 at 11:00 am with Rev. Marvin Kindle officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bent Cemetery, Bryant

Visitation will be Friday, December 19 from 9:30 to 11am at Bradley Funeral Home .
