I remember how Mary made me feel about myself- I always felt better after I was around her for even a short time. You were blessed for the time you knew her. She can be with Emery now. "Mary & Emery were like my parents in the USA. I first met them when I worked for Monsanto in Muscatine. A great friendship got started through a Powder Mechanics evening class that I took under Emery. Mary is truly a wonderful person. I am the same age as her oldest daughter and I was treated like her own. She wrote me long letters and kept the special relationship going for many years. She came to visit me and my husband in all the homes that we owned. The Harley trips/visits ended when Emery died. Mary was a very thoughtful mom because every Christmas, she made us a treat that we enjoyed a lot. Joanne called it a Christmas tradition and she revived it last Christmas. Mary loved her kids more than life. To all her kids, please carry that thought in your hearts always. I am truly glad that I had the chance to visit you, Mary last year. Each day was a wonderful visit. You did not recognize me, but to be with you each day meant a lot to me. I am truly grateful that you and Emery came into my life. Here is a big smuckaroo and another one as you liked it, Mom! I will not say goodbye. I will see you again. Bing & I want to extend our sincerest condolences to the family. You are in our thoughts and prayers."
