Howard Wayne Ridge
April 26, 1930 - January 23, 2018
Howard Ridge, age 87, of Loveland, died on January 23, 2018 at Tru Hospice of Northern Colorado in Greeley. He had been struggling with advancing dementia in his last several years.
Howard Wayne Ridge was born on April 26, 1930 in Sidney, Nebraska, the son of Lloyd and Lillie (Hougen) Ridge. As a young man Howard was called to serve his country for 2 years in Korea. He later taught art at Bill Reed Junior High School in Loveland for twenty-eight years.
Hobbies and fun included traveling, camping, birdwatching, reading, making ceramics, good western movies and listening to music.
He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by his wife, Alice, son, Geoffrey, daughter, Erika Koenig, son-in-law, Tim and grandson Thomas. Also surviving are 2 sisters-in-law, 6 nieces and 5 nephews. Howard is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Agnes Lundgren, 2 sisters-in-law and 5 brothers-in-law.
Memorial service for Howard Ridge, age 87, will be at the beginning of June, 2018.
